Troop Training US Tank Crews WW2

I read the interesting blog post on the Brave Fusiliers blog by Mark Nichipor about his visit to the American Heritage (Military) Museum visit in Hudson, Massachusetts USA on a Universal Soldier re-enactment and wargames day.

At the end of Mark’s blog post is a link to a PBS News Hour story about the Museum, also available worldwide as a PBS News Hour YouTube video.

On this PBS clip I saw this interesting (M4 Sherman) tank crew training photo featured for a second or two, I so quickly screenshotted this image.

It would make a great military modelling vignette.

Presumably the image is from the museum’s collection?

Close up of the table and terrain model, with model trees? unless it is a map held down by pebbles.

It looks like some kind of Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) or military training wargame rather than a field briefing?
